Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- ¾ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, milk, and red food coloring. Mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
- Scoop dough onto the tray, spacing cookies apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
- Cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
