Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Do not drain completely.
  • Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir well. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened into gravy. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Remove from heat.
  • Arrange biscuit pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour sausage gravy over the biscuits, spreading evenly.
  • Whisk eggs with heavy cream and pour over the casserole.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  • Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until biscuits are cooked through and the top is golden.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish if desired.
